ITINERARY
Day 1, MERIDA ARRIVAL
- Arrival at Mérida International Airport, Mexico's "White City".
- Welcome and reception by a local guide in Mexico with experience and official credentials.
- Private transfer to your hotel.
- Time for lunch (not included) your guide can recommend the best places for lunch and you can taste the variety and exquisiteness of the Yucatecan gastronomy.
- 14:00 Pick up at the lobby of your hotel to get to know the famous White City, being this a private tour in order to offer a unique experience.
- Merida is characterized by its colonial architecture, sober style, where there are buildings with high ceilings and large windows (predominantly in the current Historic Center); but above all it is recognized by the color of the quarry, a material typical of the region with which many of its buildings were built, which makes the sunlight stand out even more, an aspect that has earned today the nickname of White City, a fact also supported by the tradition of its inhabitants, maintained for many years, to use bright colors to paint their properties.
- You will make a tour of the main streets of the city of Merida such as: 60, 61 and 62 that encloses the main square, the cathedral, as well as the house of the founder of the city (with its Mexican baroque style facade), you will also find souvenir stores, guayaberas boutiques, traditional articles of the Mexican southeast.
- Continue the tour to Paseo de Montejo to admire the monument to the homeland (which cites the most important events in the history of Yucatan and our country Mexico) and its beautiful French-style mansions, arriving at the Great Museum of the Mayan World where you can visit one of the four exhibition halls that have a high thematic content to present the archeology, anthropology, ethnology and history and customs of the Mayan world in the region.
- Return to the hotel in Merida where you have your accommodation in the City.

Day 2, MERIDA - IZAMAL
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- A little less than an hour from Mérida is one of the most magical places in the country: Izamal. This ancient city, ideal for walking through its quiet streets and admiring its mansions and small squares, is a true open museum, such is its charm that in 2001 it was named the first magical town in Mexico.
- Izamal is also known as the city of three cultures, because here coexist in harmony the vestiges of its pre-Hispanic origin, the traces of its colonial past and the harmony of its romantic contemporary present.
The first thing you will notice when you arrive to this town is the yellow color, markets, houses, convents, yellow is the favorite color of the city. It is a trip to the past by the hand of its street lamps and cobblestone streets, all seasoned with the romance of yesteryear that can provide the buggies. - You can visit Kinich Kakmó, a 34-meter-high pyramid, which is located behind the convent, by the way, Izamal was named the first magical town for its mixture of three cultures, in essence, three times that converge in one physical place.

Optional: In addition to visiting the attractions of the magical town, you can tour Izamal in a horse-drawn carriage, including stops at local artisans' workshops where you can browse through a variety of local handicrafts and folk art. - Transfer back to Mérida.

Day 3, MERIDA - SISAL
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Located in the municipality of Hunucmá, 1 hour drive from the city of Mérida is Sisal, a small fishing village that owes its name to the production of sisal. Sisal is a small and quiet town where many fishermen live. It is a Yucatecan community of very friendly and helpful people. Travelers coming from big cities will find its peaceful streets especially endearing, as well as its beaches of clear sand and emerald-blue water.
Enjoy nature's nectar straight from a coconut tree or the day's catch while feeling the fine white sand between your toes. - Sisal is known for its wide sandy beaches and wild dunes that invite you to run and play on its shores. The pier is surrounded by sparkling turquoise waters and rough waves.
- Transfer back to Merida.

Day 4, MERIDA - VALLADOLID - BACALAR
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Departure to Valladolid a 2 hour drive to get to know the so-called hidden gem of Yucatan winning this place the Travel Lemming Reader Choice Award 2019 of North America, and it is not hard to see why, it is a place where most of the people do not speak English, but where their loving smiles make it clear how delighted they are to welcome you to the home of which they are very proud.
- The first thing you will do once you arrive to this beautiful place is: take a walk through its beautiful and quiet streets while you observe all the colorful colonial houses that were once an important part of the history and foundation of this town.
- You will enter the National Palace from where you will be able to see the center of Valladolid with a full view of its central park.
- You will visit La Casa de los Venados, a house museum that houses the largest private collection of Mexican Folk Art in our country. Here you will find more than 3000 pieces of art from different parts of Mexico that you can enjoy with a unique tour during the mornings.
- As in the rest of Mexico, here in Valladolid you will find some of the best artisans, who create incredible pieces of art such as wood, thread, leather, metal, gold or silver.
Valladolid is home to many incredible cenotes, you will visit Cenote Zaci, located just a few blocks from downtown Valladolid. The cenote facilities include a restaurant where you will enjoy an incredible view while eating panuchos or the classic longaniza con frijol (sausage with beans). - Continuation of the tour to Bacalar is 4 hours away from Valladolid with a stop in the port of Felipe Carrillo which was the sanctuary of the Mayan cruzoob or rebel Mayas during the Caste War. It is better known as "Pueblo de Guerreros" and is the strategic point to start your adventure and get lost in a world full of history and culture.

Day 5, BACALAR - LAGUNA OF THE 7 COLORS
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- You will visit the magical town of Bacalar, an important commercial town in Mayan times since it was the point of exchange of merchandise from Central America with the Yucatan Peninsula. It is a town full of nature and history, in Bacalar you will enjoy the most tranquil and paradisiacal version of the Mexican Caribbean.
- You will visit one of its greatest attractions is its beautiful 7-color lagoon, also known as Rainbow Lagoon, for the incredible shades of its crystal-clear waters, which are the result of the combination of coral diversity and underwater flora.
- Bacalar lagoon is formed by seven different cenotes that make up a single lagoon is narrow and long, having 42 km long and only 2 km at its widest point.
- Bacalar is ideal for diving, swimming or snorkeling.
- Transfer back to the hotel.

Day 6, DEPARTURE

- Free morning to enjoy Bacalar beach.
