ITINERARY
Day 1, MERIDA, YUCATAN
- Arrival at Mérida International Airport, Mexico's "White City".
- Welcome and reception by local guide with license and experience.
- Private transfer to your hotel.
- We recommend you to arrive early as possible to take advantage of the day light to start doing activities in the City, also to experience the famous and delicious Yucatán cuisine, one of best in México, worldwide recognized by the Cochinita Pibil and other delicious dishes, which result in the merge of the dishes and products from the Mayan civilization and the ingredients and species brought by the Spaniards during the conquer of México, in particular Yucatán territory. You could try a very good local restaurant as Chaya Maya located at the historical center of Mérida (not included in the price).

- 14:00 Pick up by the tour guide at the lobby of your hotel to start the private tour of Mérida City, offering you best experiences and knowledge about the Yucatán culture and heritage as part of the Mexican culture. Enjoy a cultural adventure in Yucatan Mérida is characterized by its colonial architecture, of sober style, where there are constructions of high ceilings and big windows (predominantly in the current Historical Center); but above all it is recognized by the color of the quarry, own material of the region with which many of its buildings were raised, that makes stand out even more the illumination of the sun, aspect that has been worth to it nickname of "White City", fact also supported in the tradition of its inhabitants, maintained by many years, to use alive, vibrant colors to paint its premises.
- You will take a tour of the main streets of the city of Mérida such as: 60, 61 and 62 that encloses the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral of Yucatán, as well as the house of the city's founder, Francisco de Montejo "el Mozo", with its Mexican baroque style facade, you will also find souvenir stores, guayabera boutiques, traditional articles of the Mexican southeast.
- You will continue the tour towards Montejo's walk to admire the monument to the fatherland (which cites the most important events in the history of Yucatán and México) and its beautiful French style houses, arriving at the Great Museum of the Mayan World where you will be able to visit one of the four exhibition halls that have a high thematic content to present the archaeology, anthropology, ethnology and history and customs of the Mayan world in the region.
- Return to the hotel in Mérida.

Day 2, IZAMAL - VALLADOLID & CHICHEN ITZÁ
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- 9:00 Departure from the hotel lobby. You will start your great adventure in Mérida. Travel to Izamal, Yucatán, to get to know the essence of the Yucatan's cultural tradition. In this city there are Mayan temples, it is also called "the City of Three Cultures" because here you can appreciate the three constructive stages of Yucatán: the pre-Hispanic, colonial and modern. With buildings in yellow and white, reminiscent of the colors of the flag of the Holy See, and its monastery dedicated to one of the pillars of the Franciscan Order of St. Anthony of Padua, is now the most important Marian center for Yucatán Catholics. Its elevation, for example, is due to the fact that it is built on an ancient Mayan base; moreover, its atrium is the second largest in the world after the one in St. Peter's Square in Rome.
- Time to wrap yourself up in the atmosphere of peace and tranquility that only these towns offer, walk around to enjoy Yucatán common people, talk with the locals, with merchants and others to know about their lives, dreams and way of live, buy some souvenirs or simply take a ride in a horse-drawn carriage around the area.
- You will continue your trip to Chichen - Itzá, one of the largest archaeological sites in México, declared one of the seven new wonders of the world, a World Heritage Site.
- Finally, you will close your day with a visit to Valladolid, the second most important city in Yucatán, a hospitable city full of history that makes Yucatán proud. It is also oldest city in Yucatán. Valladolid is located right in the middle of the two most important cities of the Yucatán Peninsula, Mérida and Cancún. For centuries it has been identified by the richness of the Spanish legacy, also called one of the oldest cities of the peninsula and declared by México as a Magic Town.
- Transfer back to Mérida.

If on your trip you are in this beautiful city at night we recommend you to go to Plaza Grande in the center of Mérida where every Saturday at 8:00 pm, "The Mexican night", aims to entertain and amuse attendees through culture, cuisine, folklore and music state, national and international. From here you can get to know and enjoy the rich Mexican and Yucatecan culture, through accessories, articles, crafts, dances and typical food.
For 13 years this Saturday event has been the scene of multiple dance and popular music groups, both from Yucatán and other states, and even outside the Mexican Republic, in which the ballet of Cuba and Belize stands out. The best thing is that the entrance to this site is totally free for the whole family, so spending a fun night in every sense is achieved in a very simple and economical way.
Day 3, MERIDA - HACIENDA YAXCOPOIL - UXMAL ARCHAELOGICAL MAYAN SITE - XBATUN CENOTE
- Breakfast at hotel.
- Visit to the former Hacienda Yaxcopoil, considered one of the most important rustic farms for its size and magnificence, both in the livestock sector and in the henequen industry. Its name means "place of the green poplars" in the Mayan language. Currently, the hacienda has been converted into a private parador and museum, trying to show with the greatest truthfulness and simplicity, the spaces and furniture used in times of splendor.
- Leaving the hacienda, you can go to a small tortilla shop where you can taste the traditional Mexican tortillas, a place that belongs to a family of Mayan descent. You can also visit the traditional houses of the residents where they are used to sleeping in hammocks because of the freshness of the warm climate.
- Continuation of the tour to the archaeological zone of Uxmal, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
- The ruins of the ancient Mayan city of Uxmal, south of Mérida, are among the most impressive in the Yucatán Peninsula. The three must see buildings in this magical place are the Pyramid of the Soothsayer, the Nuns' Quadrangle and the Governor's Palace. Like Chichen Itza and Tikal, Uxmal is considered one of the most important archeological sites of the Mayan culture.
- Then we will take you to a traditional local Yucatán restaurant where you can experience the cochinita pibil that was cooked for your arrival to the restaurant (lunch is not included in the quotation).
- To finish this day full of history, traditions, culture, nature and adventure we can close with a visit to the Cenote of X Batun where you can refresh yourself in its crystalline water surrounded by the songs of the birds that often come down to drink, you can observe abundant fishes through its crystalline waters.
- Transfer back to the hotel in Mérida for resting rest of the day after having a full adventure day in which customers have learned about Yucatán society, culture, anthropology, heritage and Mayan civilization as well as nature. A real culture and nature adventure in México, full of emotions and surprises.
- Free evening, enjoy last evening in Mérida.
