Adventure at Mexican Huasteca Potosina

Program of 5 Days and 4 Nights in the Huasteca Potosina, where you will visit rivers, spectacular waterfalls and the famous Edward James Sculptural Garden. Departures every Sunday. Minimum 2 persons.

ITINERARY

Day 1 (Sunday), TAMUÍN AIRPORT, SAN LUIS POTOSI, MEXICO

  • 15:00, Reception at the Tamuín Airport.
  • 16:30, Visit the Micos River and enjoy the waterfall jump or the "Adventure Land" (zip line over the Micos River, suspension bridge or zip line bike with extra cost).
  • Transfer to the municipality of El Naranjo.
  • Accommodation in Aquion Pueblo Mágico municipality, Hotel San Joaquín or similar.

This day includes a Sandwich Box Lunch, 1 fruit and a refillable water bottle.

Day 2 (Monday), GARDEN EDWARD JAMES, XILITLA, BASEMENT OF LAS HUAHUAS

  • 7:00 Appointment in the lobby breakfast will be in transit to Xilitla.
  • 9:00 Preferential entrance in the Edward James sculptural garden, unique in the world. Time to swim in their beautiful pools of crystal-clear water.
  • 11:00 Cascada Los Comales (don´t be confused with the waterfall of the Garden of Edward James).
  • 14:00 Xilitla, Magic Town where you will have time to have lunch (included). Visit the town and its Church, see form the outside the House which belonged to Edward James in this town.
  • 16:00 Visit the Carrington Leonora Museum.
  • 17:00 Transfer to the basement of the Huahuas, extraordinary by its nature.
  • 19:30 Departure to the Hotel to rest, same hotel.
  • 20:00 Arrival at the hotel, we suggest trying the unique scrapes in the region. Night in Aquismón.

Day 3 (Tuesday), BASEMENT OF LAS GOLONDRINAS - TAMUL WATERFALL

  • 5:00 Departure without luggage to the basement of Las Golondrinas, the third largest in the world and the most beautiful.
  • 9:30 Breakfast at the hotel.
  • 11:00 Carry the suitcases and go to the Tamul waterfall, this tour is about playing wet between boats, it is impossible not to get wet better enjoy and play.
  • 12:30 Arrival at the pier to board the paddle rafts that will take us to Tamul Waterfall and its Cenote Cueva del Agua (it is undoubtedly the most beautiful waterfall in Mexico) located on the Tampaón river.
  • 16:30 Transfer to the country food in the house of a local, there are showers to rinse and change for dry clothes.
  • 18:30 Departure to Valles City.
  • 20:00 Arrival at the hotel to rest, Hotel La Piña or similar.
  • Night in Valles.

Day 4 (Wednesday), EL SALTO WATERFALL & MECO RIVER

  • 7:30 Breakfast.
  • 8:30 Upload luggage to the transportation.
  • 9:00 Visit to the waterfall El Salto.
  • 11:00 Visit to the viewpoint of Salto del Meco.
  • 13:00 Rio El Meco with rowing boat ride to the waterfall.
  • 14:00 Lunch.
  • 16:00 Minas Viejas Waterfall (one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Huasteca).
  • 18:00 Departure to the municipality of Aquismón to rest, Hotel San Joaquín or similar.
  • 21:00 Arrival at the hotel.
  • Night in Aquismón.

Day 5 (Thursday), PUENTE DE DIOS - DEPARTURE

  • 7:00 Paraje Puente de Dios in Tamasopo (a life experience).
  • 10:00 Main course breakfast and a drink.
  • 12:00 Lunch at Selva Tenek, Environmental Management Unit.
  • 13:00 Tour in Selva Tenek, UMA that protects cats.
  • 14:00 Departure to the Huasteca Potosina airport.
  • 15:00 Arrival at the airport.

OPTIONAL ADVENTURE TOUR TO REPLACE ACTIVITY ON DAY 5:

If you decide to have an extreme adventure instead of visiting Puente de Dios we offer you the option of taking Rafting with a supplement of $ 1,500 MXN per person.

DESCRIPTION:

Rafting on Thursday: 5:00 a.m., Departure to the Tanchachín pier where we will start the 18 km Rafting activity on the Tampaón River (With box lunch from the beginning and lunch at the end of the activity) + cost of taxi transfer from Tamasopo to the Tanchachín pier. The supplement includes start box lunch, equipment, instructor, food and return to Ciudad Valles, where we will pick you up for your transfer to the airport.

This adventure activity carries a high risk that the passenger will assume as it requires their physical abilities and minimum of 4 participants over 13 years, it must always be booked at least 5 days in advance, it is subject to availability.
